EOTC Beach Day Reflection

On Thursday last week My class and the biggest class sat outside of Kowhai. The teachers called the roll, then we started walking down to Coopers Beach for EOTC. It took us about 35 minutes to get there. Once we got there we had morning tea, then after morning tea we got into 4 groups of 11 and did some rotations. The rotations were paddle boarding and kayaking, beach cricket, photography and a bush walk. At the end of the EOTC beach day we started walking back to school. On the way to schoolwe picked up rubbish.

Reflection: My favourite part was jumping off the paddle boards. It was hard to find a good photo doing photography. I wish there were more rotations.

Walt: We learnt how to be a positive  digital citizen, then we wrote facts how the be a digital citizen.

Reflection: I enjoyed writing down information about how to be a positive digital citizen. It was hard to think about ideas to be a positive digital citizen. I wish I had more place to write more facts.

Reflection: I enjoyed making the google draws of the marine animals. I wish I could do more google drawings of the marine animals.

Reflection: I enjoyed searching for interesting facts about the grand canyon. It took a long time to get all the information and facts.

REFLECTION: It was very hard to run the race because I was getting tried easy and I was sick!

The Rippa Rugby Tournament

           



                       On Thursday last week  we went to a rippa rugby                              tournament at Tiapa rugby field. I arrived at the rugby                      field with Cody. When we all arrived at the field my                          teacher and the other teacher put down a little mat and                  we all put our bags on it.

                     
                         We were put into 3 different teams. We played 3 teams                    in the whole day. The first game we played was                                kangaoo and I got 3 tries and we won. We nearly made                    it into the finals. it was super fun!!!

How the Rainbow Warrior got bombed

In 1985 there was spectacular boat named the  Rainbow Warrior.  The Rainbow Warrior was protesting against French nuclear testing and the french  got MAD! 10 mins before midnight at Auckland Marsden Wharf there were three spies.

Two spies attached two bombs the bottom of the ship. Although the two bombs exploded, the bombs killed Fernando Pereira the photographer.

When the first bomb went off Fernando wanted to get his camera but it was to late, the second bomb went off and he drowned in his cabin!

We need to talk about the 2 bombs. The first bomb made a HUGE hole in the hull and it was as the size of a car ! The second bomb was planted to the engine room. Remember the third spy? The third spy “ Christine  Cabon” was undercover at the Auckland office. He was getting information and maps. The 2 spies “ Alain Marfart and Daminique Prieur were both charged for manslaughter, and they were imprisoned in Hao Atoll as punishment. In 1987 the French paid 8.16 million to Greenpeace. Money was also paid to the Pereira family
